Two inspiring journeys. Two unforgettable women. One amazing story.

Broome, Australia, 1893: It's the wild and passionate heyday of the pearling industry, and when young English bride Olivia Hennessy meets dashing pearling master Captain Tyndall, their lives are destined to be linked by the mysterious power of the pearl.

Sydney, Australia, 1995: Lily Barton embarks on a search for her family roots which leads her to Broome. But her quest for identity reveals more than she could have ever imagined.

The ability to take words and by putting them on paper create a mental picture that transfers and thrills the reader as if you are seeing the scene in your minds eye is a rare accomplishment. Di has done that through a number of her books that I have had the pleasure of reading. Thanks for transporting me to your magical world. Daniel

I'm not very keen on Australian stories, but this is a wonderful story told with such feeling, I'm a male of 87 yrs. but it had me dabbing tears from my eyes. This is the first time I've read the book by Di, and as soon as I finish that I ordered another one, can't wait to read it, I just hope it's as good use the one I've just read

Interesting story with many twists and turns. Enjoyed the history of Broome, early Kimberley life and pearling. Disappointing was the numerous spelling mistakes that should have been picked up by editorial review.
Loved it!

Di does an amazing job with her descriptions of this beautiful place. I loved the story and it inspired me to visit Broome. When I got there, I felt as if I knew the place and all its history. The first I read of Morrissey and hasn't been the last. Highly recommend Barra Creek too!
