Totally enjoyed her writing in this book. A lovely suspenseful story that kept you thinking right till the end. Lots of twists and turns. Would recommend.

At this point I have read this book a few times and have loved it each and every time. The plot is intriguing, the characters loveable and the setting chilling.
It was an excellent Historical Murder Mystery Romance that (when I first read it) kept me guessing to the end. But now I just read it to enjoy the other elements of the story like the setting, Sub/Foil characters and how the history of medical science evolved (even though I KNOW this story can’t be 100% accurate in this, it’s still nice to read someones interpretation😊).
I won’t give anything away because you have to read it and experience it for yourself without outside interference (or at least that’s my theory for this particular book).
Take nothing but your own preconceptions and follow the clues with Darcie Finch.

I enjoyed the story of Damien and Darcie.
Very dark and gothic the writing reminded me of many a Susan Howatch novel, well edited.
If you like your stories a bit on the dark side then this is definitely an author for you to read.

Loved the characters and this story! Also that the book was a decent length and proper ending. I will read the next book and am looking forward to enjoying it just as much .

Gripping from the start, our resilient heroine and intriguing doctor have sizzling chemistry in this well-constructed story of mystery and second-guessing. The Gothic theme is well done and adds to the suspense! Recommended!
