C S Forester wrote "Hornblower and the Crisis", but died in 1966 before he could finish it. The unfinished novel was published in 1967 by Michael Joseph. Bob Smith, member of the C S Forester Society has now written an appropriate ending.

Superbly finished except the four blasphemous utterances so out of character for Hornblower, and obviously the Lingua Franca of Bob Smith detracted significantly from what was a skilled and well researched conclusion.
